I use yahoo e-mail, too! I can't see how a weakness in yahoo e-mail security could result in access to an ebay account. I would think it would have to be the other way around.

Maybe this is the key??? Hi-jackers look for ebay accounts with LOW activity to hi-jack & use? Still don't know how the hi-jackers get access, though.
