I emailed Paypal and the seller notifying them of the mistake. I asked Paypal to refund the money since I did not send the double payment out. They said they couldn’t and that the seller would have to refund me. I let the seller know this (this was all done on Saturday, one day since the double payment). The seller finally wrote back a week later stating that she didn’t realize that she had received a double payment and had already spent the money that I would have to wait until she came up with the money through other auctions. It was only $23.30, that’s a small amount to come up with. It’s been three weeks now and I haven’t received the product nor the refund for the double payment. Should I count my losses even though it wasn’t my mistake?
