Reply to "Contacting eBay support a futile waste of time?"

I can see that the chat thing is quite good although it's on eBay.com so not really aimed at us Brits! I tried asking about PayPal surcharges and Eugene just pointed me @ UK email help...

Here's the transcript:
region2: can buyers charge a surcharge for PayPal - I'm in the UK!?
Eugene: Hello, my name is Eugene. Welcome to live help!
I would be glad to assist you with your concern regarding
charging a surcharge for Paypal.
Eugene: Do you mean if sellers can charge the fees they are
charged for using Paypal to their buyers?
region2: yep - a surcharge of 5% (for example) if you decide to pay by PayPal
Eugene: I'm sorry but that is not allowed.
Any fees that the seller has to pay for using Paypal or any other payment options
like credit card cannot be included in the price for the item they are selling.
region2: Are you sure - as mentioned, I'm in the UK and I heard it's legal!
Eugene: I know that that is not allowed in the US. You may want to contact our
UK support specialists to be sure. Do you know how to reach them?
region2: Nope - do they have live chat?
Eugene: They don't have live chat.
region2: Ok - so why don't you let me know how to contact them then?
Eugene: Yes, I'm getting the instructions for you now.
region2: Thanx
Eugene: Here is the link that you can use. When you close this chat window,
you will have the option to email the transcript to yourself,
so you can save the link for later.
