I did start sifting through excuses for not being present:

i.e

I am misunderstood (Nobody, other than you, seems to understand my jokes)
I am deeply offended (R2 is always rude about my jokes)
I am ignored (Each time I started a serious topic, they all wander off and discuss food)

Then I thought I had better be honest (for a change)

I am embarrassed

I looked down the list of topics on the front page and discovered that I had started about 50% of them in your absence.

Time to shut up!
