The “use it or lose it” method of stuff-management. Good rule to follow. Probably could/should apply one’s spouse. It could be one of those few exceptions mentioned, but then again … ?

Sounds like a respectable library. I’d estimate it at the 1 to 2k mark? It could be upwards of the 3 or 4k mark if it were mostly paperbacks.
