Can your snipe if you bid manually

I've been burned before, but I just did it again.

I left my scheduled snipe even though I had bid manually.

I am charged for a winning snipe even though my snipe bid was below the allowed bid. auctionsniper has told me they can't or haven't fixed this, but it seems like an easy fix to me.
