Yep, it is standard to wait 7-10 days for payment and is usually stated in each sellers terms. It is going to take at least three days for a payment to cross town, at least in Texas. And we are all using the same good old US Postal Service. I sell old postcards and in the early 1900's a card would be postmarked when it left a city, and again postmarked when it arrived in an adjoining state or further on the next day. Sometimes it would be delivered that same day or always the next. That is 2-3 days by steam train mail delivery. All that ended with the progress of zip codes, airplanes and computers. Sadly.
