I even had one bid get submitted within one second of the auction's end time. That was a nail-biter. Furthermore, I happened to win that auction by one penny! SWEET! lol But the point is, I did submit a legitimate bid and won the auction -- snipe or no snipe. The auction doesn't end until the clock expires. Until then, any bid submitted in any fashion is perfectly legit.
For him to ask you to withdraw your bid is just plain comical -- not to mention illegal according to Ebay rules. Obviously, he is greatly disappointed that he didn't win -- I've been there, too. But, that's how I learned to snipe in the first place! LOL He is just taking it out on you, which is pretty low-class of him to do. Plus, I'm sure that the seller didn't him the time of day, either. I'm willing to bet that he, himself, will be sniping his next auction. lol
