Even if A/S gets the bid to ebay on time they may not have enough time to process it. My neighbor has always used 5 seconds. I use 7 seconds mostly, somtimes 8. Sunday's are a busy day and it's recommended to increase your lead time between 5-8:30 and for auctions ending on the hour, half or quarter hour.
