Bidding Question - ebay max vs AS max

Hi There,

Newbie question - for example:

current bid is $200
my snipe max bid is $400
but my bid will show as $202.50 correct? Does that mean someone with an ebay max bid of $300 will win at $205 at the end of the auction? (even though my max bid is higher than theirs)

Hello Meticulosity -

When using Auction Sniper your bids are placed exactly the same way that they are when you place them manually on eBay - Auction Sniper follows all of eBay's bidding rules. So if your Max Bid is sufficient at the time of placement, it will be made on eBay, using the full amount of your Max Bid. eBay will then use only the portion of that amount required to place you in the high bidder position. So, as far as the automatic bidding on eBay goes, your full bid amount is sent in just as it would be if you were placing your bid directly.
