( -) Currently:
GBP5.75 Ship: GBP 2.75 Qty:1

The above Snipe failed to activate. Message posted 19:15hrs. This is the second time in a week it has failed to operate. Administrator told me before of system Power surge but gave no reassurance this would not happen again.

Really disappointed now.

Does any one know of a different sniper system I could look at?

If your snipe amount was GBP 21.05, since the auction closed at GBP 21.00, I’m assuming your snipe wasn’t place because you didn’t reach the next increment.

I think your snipe needed to be a minimum of GBP 22.00 just to be placed, which may not have been enough to win?

Thanks for your prompt response. The Snipe was £21.05 higher than the £21.00 that won it. This method has worked before.

The annoying thing is that Snipe is still waiting to be placed!

Hi Gary,

Don’t have any problem with you using another sniping service, but just want to make sure it’s for the right reason. According to the following ebay bid increments, your snipe needed to be at least £22.00 (£21.00 auction price + £1.00 increment) for ebay to accept it:

Rick Disclaimer: Never having placed a bid on ebay UK, I could be completely screwed up.

Does the status for the snipe say, “Ready”? Does the snipe show a remaining amount of time before auction end?

ECW, they are correct - you cannot split eBay's inbuilt scale of increments to get another bid.

Eascombewest
Snipe did show "Ready" even after 3hrs after auction closed.
This morning Monday, it now says "Not in Time".

However, the auction end time is Mar-12-06 10:12:39 PST. - A.S. end time is 12/03/2006 14:06:53!! Both cut and pasted from corresponding pages.

Gary,

Unless some sniper muse decides to get involved in this thread, you might want to file a support request:
