Sniper In Training

Hi,

I'm new to this forum as I have just signed up to ask about this topic so please excuse me if I am going over old ground. A friend of mine, who I had recommended AS to, has just had his first snipe BLOCKED by an eBay seller. I've never heard of this and wondered if anyone else knows anything about it? Is this a new eBay policy or and option open to sellers? His snipe was higher than the final price and he received an email confirming that the snipe was blocked by the seller. Any information would be of use, thanks.

It’s not his snipe that is being blocked. Here are the reasons a seller can block a bidder:

Have him click on the "View Confirmation" button next to the lost snipe. It should give the reason why his bid was blocked.

Thanks, I'll pass this info. on, it may well be that the seller had barred buyers from outside the US (even though my friend had emailed the seller to ask his permission to bid...)
