...most of us may be "ashamed" to admit to what we fish out of the 'bay. Me, I have been known to buy records, older audio equipment, and even a traffic light or two. Dave "The waist is a terrible thing to mind."

I buy anything interesting that is a bargain but have four main collections: Anything Western from Charlie Russell (Montana Artist or F Remington- New York) From Paintings to Bronze. Celebrity Furniture Art & Musical Instruments and my favorite is Bogus - Quackery Medical Equipment. Usually wooden boxes with a battery Inside that shocked you to cure a cold or cancer. I also collect and build stained Glass windows , Suncatchers & wind chimes.

I stick with NORMAL    popular collectibles. I know there will always be a market on eBay. Occasionally will buy lots (sometimes off eBay) and resell individually. Back before the calculator cost less than $400.00 I had one of >THESE<. Almost 30 years later it was my very first sale on eBay.

...are not NORMAL and popular? We all see them every day. Come to think of it, everybody should have their very own traffic light; maybe in the hallway. That Curta looks hard to use; it would be interesting to try one out someday. Dave "The waist is a terrible thing to mind."

Traffic light... I guess it would be nice in a hallway, but I don't have the ceiling height. Those things are bigger than they look from the car. I'd have to crawl under it. quote: That Curta looks hard to use
Surprisingly easy for having over 500 moving parts. Add Subtract and Multiply to 15 places, and could divide to 9. A typical calculation with large numbers took less than 15 seconds. The hardest part was determining where the decimal went. (a mental addition or subtraction)

...the "small" ones have 8" lenses and the "large" ones have 12" lenses; more information that you probably ever wanted to know. Actually, I do not have the heighth, and; come to think of it, I do not have a real hallway, either. If I ever do hang one in the house, it will be in the corner of the Florida room. My goodness what a variety of different interests! Just goes to show..anything sells on Ebay. I read in Readers Digest that a left used work shoe sold for 1.25 plus shipping! For the rights to have a secret penpal write to you for 30 days went for $81.00!

Hmm, I could use some quick easy cash for all these darn bills...... I can see I just need to get more creative! One left shoe huh? For a one legged person?? You know actually, if someone were to sell the right hand only of the garden gloves I wear, I would buy them. For a very low price of course. I wear out all the right ones and have a pile of lefties!! And then, they might be waiting for me to sell them the lefties!! The best things in life are furry....and flowers!

If you want a small rugged light buy a railroad train Caboose Light. Three Colors - and heavy with great glass. The trainman use to be able to take them off and wave them to avert a collission or to flag a passing train to stop - I have one.

I'm all set, have a new 5KW generator on the porch all gassed up. Tonight is the 11th anniversary of the 1993 storm that is the reason I left my farm and moved here. I moveed in a vacant apartment with two dogs a cat and a pillow and my wallet. You should see it now.. But only getting 3 or 4 inches tonight but really heavy winds.
