Well, my first buying experience on eBay has really turned out to be a nightmare. First, I lost out on bidding(7/13)for some Honda CRX seats because of some technical glitch at eBay or here on AS. Then I decided to do a "Buy Now" for some CRX seats from a Power Seller. When they arrived, the drivers seat is broken. I sent the seller an email and get a response back that his shop is "closed for the holidays" from Aug 4 through Aug 14. WHAT HOLIDAYS!! Am I missing something??? Anyway, what should I do now?
It is possible to have a holiday at any time of year - August sounds quite reasonable unless you are in the Antipodes Bit late now, but I would not even think of buying a large item like this unless I collected it. What was the technical glitch? Could the broken seat be construed as a misrepresentation of the description? You need to be both pedantic and sceptic when buying on ebay!
I agree with you all. Everyone ..well almost everyone...takes vacations once in a while! I am sure that was an automaic response. If the guy has a pretty good reputation, give him a chance. I am sure he will make whatever adjustment is right.
