Pun not ignored...but...we were just talking about marbles the other day.

How every lunchtime at school girls and boys alike would set out their marbles to try and better their marble collection.

Oh the memories...cat's eyes, *steelies*...the lost art of marbles.

Ohhh then there is *knuckles*.

At least you all were issued marbles.

I remember the "cat eyes", they were rather pretty marbles. I had some, although I never really played "marbles". I remember Mother buying me a bag of marbles and saying: "Go ahead and play with them, but I think that you will lose most of them." Most of them were still around years later when I went in the Navy. Fooled her! Big Grin

LMAO - funny how things like that happen Dave.

Sadly, I have been searching ebay high and low for some marbles now. I would love some for when the boys are a bit older.

Hi Lexie
I suppose you could get steel balls quite easily from a bearing supplier - I made a Newton Cradle from a few, once.

It's good that the marbles have been found,
now all I have to do is find the plot (yes the plot, the one that my wife lost when the elephants feet* book ends turned up.) and peace will once again reign in out house!

*made from real elephants

May you live in interesting times

Hopefully the elephant isn’t still in the feet. If he/she is, did you give him/her a private, and open, bay window to position his/her posterior? Nothing like the pitter-patter of elephant feet scampering through the house, other than them scampering through the floor. I bet you can’t wait until he/she is house-broken before the house is broken.

How does one ship elephant feet? Did they go by ground, or Disney-Dumbo Express?

Well, strangely, the 'rickychalmers' site is being used to host the avatar for 'I'd rather be shopping'. Seems rather puzzling that an older woman in Nevada who's husband is a baker would be using poor 'Ricky's' site in the UK for this purpose. Perhpas 'Ricky' is her son?? Hmmm... doesn't seem to jive with 'Rickys' bio.

Yet another purplexing conundrum on the AS forums.

I’m quoting this entire post so that years from now we can all have a good chuckle, even if BJ edits or deletes it.

Well, folks? Once again, not quite sure what to make of this latest. Perhaps it’s me (no, I don’t mean that like it sounds), but with Ricky appearing in quotes, I get the vague (very vague) feeling BJ is trying to say something. There appears to be an innuendo, or a double meaning, or something. But, it’s hard for me to think that BJ wouldn’t just come out and say what he’s thinking. “Ricky” isn’t all that different than “Rick”, after all. But, if this is heading down the Rabbit Hole I think it is, I have only one question for BJ – “Ricky” might be a girl’s name so why make that person “her son”?

Shop,

Don’t forget that BJ was the same one that brought up this great piece of “detective” work:
http://community.auctionsniper.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/98...311073211#6311073211
Perhaps it's time to take BJ's Dick Tracy badge away from him?

It’s not just another AS forum – it’s an adventure!

"rickychalmers.brinkster.net" and from the subdirectory "/pictures/".

Just delete it - open it up first, maybe, to see what was there?

Not to cut into anyone's fun, but on my computer that appears as a .gif file, and not a cookie.

I am not here to stay, just stating some things that need to be said in defense of some. You always seem to enjoy old posts of others...

Someone just sent me this and I find what is going on is not a new thing at all.

And yes, the cookies was deleted. I would say, old married man. the jig is up. I feel so sorry for your family. May they live in better times.

And I do not want or need any kind of welcome from you now or ever. You sir, IMO, are the bottom of the barrel.

Doubtful that the above post will be deleted, or edited, but might as well make a copy of it just incase.

Still have no clue about “the cookies was deleted”?
