How do I find an auction's bid increment?

I just lost an auction for some pants that were just what I wanted (sniff!). I'd bid $30.00 & was notified that, because my bid had been below the next highest increment, I'd lost the auction to a bid of $29.37. I'm sure it makes sense somehow-the auction started at $11.99, & if I wasn't so mathematically challenged it would most likely be clear to me where I goofed. So help a girl out-how do I find the auction's bid increment?
