I won an Auction here in the UK for only £2. Postage was high at £6 but I looked at the overall cost and £8 was a bargain...

Seller then contacted me (after personally confirming the amount which I immediately paid and after he left positive feedback) saying, Oops - I need another £1.20 for P&P!!!
He even suggested that he'd let me pull out of the deal with no repurcussions!

I suggested that he looked for a cheaper method for sending the item.

He wrote back still wanting the extra money!
Doh! I think he's misunderstood how eBay works and, more importantly, picked the wrong person to try this little scam on.

It’s nutty that a seller would try to tack on an extra £1.20 for P&P after the fact. They must either be a fairly inexperienced seller, or have a ton of feedbacks and not concerned about a neg, or are REALLY cheap, or maybe they are on crack (the drug kind).

Seller just contacted me - he asserts that he wasn't trying to rip me off - he was just trying to recoup his loss due to his miscalculation. Naive seller. I suspect that, with seller's fees he made nothing. Ouch!
