I am currently bidding on an item on Ebay motors. I posted a bid directly on ebay for $1800.00, and there is still approximately 17 hours to go. I am not going to be available to make sure my bid stands at the end and I have posted a snipe bid for approximately 1950.00. My question is, if the auction doesn't get any more bids, which of my bids will stand......the $1800.00 or the $1950.00. Thank you. SC923

You cannot bid against yourself so $1800 will stand as long as there is no reserve. If there is a reserve(in ebay motors) your amount might be bumped up to meet the reserve if it is enough.

Yes, ebay will recognise your bid because AS just holds the amount you entered like a proxy bid and then sends the amount to eBay at the last possible moment for eBay to place. EBay then makes a one time proxy bid for you.
