Maybe that's why my Iris don't do that well - I havent covered them. When I had a rabbit I used to make a pile with clippings & the rabbit poop and the next year I put it in the beds - the Lillies loved it and the Iris as well, but haven't done that since the Rabbit got married and took off. Someone said the rabbit poo was mild and good for the bulbs. I have a problem with squirels eating the bulbs and also have moles. Accomplishment Is 90% Getting Started

It would help if I didn't have 600 of them!!! I'm making a huge pile of straw. Won't need any more for compost for 10 years!! The best things in life are furry....and flowers!

quote: how can I list this on eBay and make it sound too good to pass up???......
Dutch auction!! Have you heard about the good old days... I mean the really good old days... (or is it good really old days)... when straw didn't come in bails? Here is your chance to visit the past. Buy this piece of nostalgia. That's Right!!... Unbailed Straw!! Each piece carefully removed from the bail and seasoned through the winter. Winner takes all they can carry in one trip until my limited supply is exhausted. Shipping is free, as you will pick it up yourself. Winner may use any size 4 wheel vehicle you own or rent, but is strictly limited to one trip per win. (I hope to have enough left over to make this offer once more.) Breaking the 'one trip' rule would not be fair to other bidders yet to claim their prize. Winners that arrive after supply is exhausted (not much chance of that, but a remote possibility) will get a full refund PLUS an absolutely free cup of coffee at the now famous 7-11... My Treat!! When making your bid, don't forget your friends and family, I’m sure they would love a piece of the nostalgic past as well. This is a great idea for that 'has everything' person on your gift list.

Oh yea, Mory I think your bunny is here! I have never seen so many bunny marbles in my yard! There are huge piles everywhere!! I wonder do they go back to the same place and poo again and again? Or do they do that much all at once!! oh my!! None in the iris beds tho. I will have to collect them and sprinkle on the iris so maybe they will grow more babies fast! (Then I'll get puppy to write my auctions ) I only covered those iris because they are brand new. Hopefully they will dig in and be good with out any mulch next winter. What a mess!!! Yes - rabbits do poo in the same place over and over again - it's a sort of signpost. The rabbit poo that you see about is the second batch of poo that each rabbit has produced from that stomach full of food, BTW. Because they only have one stomach, and are quite small, they need to digest their food twice, so they produce a half-digested poo that they eat straight away, and a fully digested poo that they deposit at a latrine and leave for you to fertilise your garden with (or for a husky/child to eat ) I'm a mine of useless information.... Ewww, now I don't think I can ever look a bunny in the face and say "how cute" ever again. They must have rotten breath!! I wonder if that commercial for Easter with the little white singing bunnies will be on again this year. It made me laugh every time I saw it. I'm trying to remember what it was for! Must have been candy...... Anyone else remember??? The best things in life are furry....and flowers!
