Hello,
in Germany started a Beta Test with a tiny device that generates a temporary security code. It lasts for 30 seconds and must be given to any PayPal action. This device shall give additional security to (Ebay and) PayPal. https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/cps/gener...lSecurityKey-outside

Appears to be optional. If it is, and one wants to continue using a sniping service, don’t activate it? If activated – deactivate it?

You can turn it on for just PayPal. If you turn it on for eBay we can't snipe for you since it would require us to enter the code from that device, which only you have. That of course being the point of that device.
