hi, have been using paypal without any significant problems for some time now. Recently I had a case (in my view, unfairly) lodged by a buyer in a dispute - see previous thread. They have sent the details of their dispute to paypal, item not as received, and have listed their grievances at great length. I drafted a response to each point and went to send it in, and discovered that I am only allowed 200 characters to answer about 20 different points !. This seems really unfair to me, the seller is the one who has to defend themself against the allegations, and doesn't get any space in which to do so, yet the person making the accusation gets as much space as they seem to require. I have searched around for any other link but to no avail. I tried using the contact us link but it is awful, just gives you a drop down menu with headings to choose from, none of which seem to directly relate to my problem. I dont want to respond in short form as I think it will do me no favours in stating my case when it is weighed up for a decision
Any ideas on what to do ?
thanks

In the 200 character area, I would just explain that you can not reasonably respond in this few characters and can they please give you a link or email address to send your response too.

As I said previously, I dont have any paypal dispute background, but it does sound a tad sucky on the sellers side.

As a buyer who has been stiffed a few times by sellers, I found it very hard to convince Pay Pal and eBay from my side. SOOoOOO it seems to be from your point of view. Wink

I have emailled them using the closest category in the drop down menu on the contact us thingymabob, hopefully they'll do something about it. Always gripes me about paypal and ebay, happy to take your money but not too keen on giving you much in the way of customer service in return
cheers for your thoughts, I seem to be having a host of hassles lately, got a new one too I could do with some help on. Will start a new thread
Thanks a lot, forum certainly beats the ebay one hands down.

Never rains its pours. I have been using the same end of auction procedure for over 12 months without any problems....then all of a sudden....I have a month where every 2nd bidder cant work it out. Confused
