I've never bid on eBay before. An item(bulky) that I want has no shipping costs listed. An e-mail from the seller 3 days ago, promised to provide this info. So far, despite my follow-up e-mail, no shipping info has been provided. Is the seller obligated to provide this info? I don't want my first experience on eBay to be a bad one. What is the best way to handle this?
Personally, I’d email them again, and maybe twice. If they don’t supply the shipping costs, I probably would pass. Now, part of what I would end up doing would be based on the seller’s feedback. But, it would have to be pretty good to run the risk – but that’s me.
If the seller won't get back to you with a shipping total or at least a close estimate, you're probably better off to not bid on this one and just wait for the next widget. Some sellers will try to rip you off on shipping. The nice thing about eBay is that eventually another one will show up, often at a better price.
I agree, if they will not answer, I consider that a red flagwarning.
Another one I dislike is the shipper that will not combine tiny items into one shipment to save $, even after you politely request it. To those, what I do if I really want it is get even. I then seperate the items as I bought them, and pay them individually (that is what they are charging me) That way they have to pay more to PayPal. HE HE HE
