eBay has been slower than normal at accepting bids the past 3 days causing snipes to be placed after the auction has closed. "Not in Times" are running about 3-4x as high as normal. About 1 in 40 are not getting to eBay in time. Normally that's closer to 1 in 200. We have seen this happen even with snipes with lead times of 9 seconds.
This has been happening since eBay made a major change in how bids are accepted. That didnt affect us though because of how we snipe, but it's obviously effecting eBay. Snipes at high traffic periods from 5:30-8:30pm should use slightly more than 10 seconds. We'll report back when it's safe to lower your lead times. Or if a 1 in 40 chance of having a snipe be late is acceptable feel free to stick with your normal lead time. Thank you |

The problem has been found and corrected. It turns out all was fine, and the snipes were not late afterall.
We were detecting auctions where the seller had ended the auction early as being not in time when we bid. Of course they werent since the seller had ended them hours or even days before. So all is well, you may resume normal sniping lead times with confidence again. Thank you |
