I used this site for the first time last night and I WON. I was so nervous and excited. This lady had been bidding against me and then I discovered this site and the rest is history! Thank you-I am recommending this site to everyone I know.

Say someone bid 10 units-of-currency and the item is at 5 units then, if your bid arrives at the last second for 10.02 units, you'll win by .02 units - it's an eBay feature. I think they call it proxy bidding (but I cannot remember coming home last night so I might be very wrong!) Wink

Thank you for the dancing "Welcome Back". My job got eliminated and I was transferred to another department where I have little spare computer time and at home I have not been too "computeractive" lately. Plus my desktop confuser died and I was reluctant to put the laptop online; it turned out to be a no-brainer after all, no laptop online; no internet. Tonight, I realised that it has been a couple of months since I posted; so, I'll try to stop by more often. Hmmm, it's almost 2:30AM here and I have to get up at 8:00AM today, I better post this and shut down.

I really am glad to see you back! I was worried that perhaps the hurricane had affected you somehow and that was why you weren't posting.

Neat pic Chatter, as usual. I was playing a Jim Nabors CD when I saw this.

It was just a statement of fact. I don't know if it's a metaphor or not and don't really care. Besides, I thought you were the know it all.
Slipping again?

Actually, since Chatter posted the picture, I thought it was obvious who the post was directed at. I still think that.

I know Chatter was addressing Dave. I just thought it coincidental that I was listening to Jim when he posted Jim.

And?

Perhaps the Gomer discussion would be better in the General forum?

Being ex-Navy, I worked with Marines a lot and think they did/do a fine job. Thank you for the "Welcome Back"s; now, I have to ask "Who is Shirl? Formerly "Mrs. M"? Anyway, the hurricanes basically missed my immediate area although I was without power for four days after Frances. The light only flickered a few times during Jeanne. I never lost the phone during either; in fact, I spent a lot of time sitting on the front porch talking on the phone during the pair.
