Duchess not pleased! Duchess lost auction because AS placed bid 54 seconds prior to end, with an 8 second lead! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! OK, it was an on-the-hour finish, but those 54 seconds allowed the winning bidder time to place an unsuccessful bid, then place another winning bid!! (Just needed to vent!) DUCHESS HATES SELLERS WHO USE ON-THE-HOUR/15/30min FINISHES!!

Seriously! So the other day my snipe never got placed because of the bid confirmation page issue. Ok, understandable, they should have been testing this out before hand, but that's ok.

So tonight because they're doing maintanence my bid gets place an HOUR before hand?! I could have done that myself and not get charged anything! Basically AS is ringing up the charges on my for their screw-ups!

I used to be a huge Auction Sniper fan but over the past two experiences it's kind of turned me off to the whole thing. I think I'll just place my own bids from now on...oh well.

The snipe that didn’t get place didn’t ring up any charges. Also, if you consider the free snipes in those situations, it’s actually the opposite.

One of the suggestions floating around is to provide a warning when snipes are placed that will be fired during the Friday AM maintenance period. The way AS has been changing things recently, perhaps this will be added.

My suggestions don't float - they're fired in a deliberate manner!
