AS managers took an intelligent approach: they knew they had a superior product and decided to generate income through volume instead of charging high fees. I'm sure AS's low charges are one big reason for their success and their growth. This Forum is another. And, of course, they have the best software of all, bar none.
Steve, I agree. I looked at several snip programs. Because I do not bid on a regular schedule, I don't want a set fee. I have not found another with a forum. As for the software, nothing is 100%, but this comes close.
I realize that AS is having search problems..at least the forum posts mention that. I personally have never used AS search. I find Ebay search adequate for my needs. I would not pay a monthly fee every month, the amount set, just to add search.
Well, I expect that a programmer or two was "on call" to take care of unexpected emergencies, but gee whiz, those guys deserve a coupla days off every now and then, don't you think?

According to some of the email I get, SIZE is suppose to be important. I hope that SUCCESS has more value.
Which is more significant - how big or how good? (Is that OK to say on a public forum?)
Mrs. M, I think you will agree with me on this - AS could have 1 employee or AS could have 1,000 employees. As long as AS has a high degree of SUCCESS, I'll leave SIZE to Mr. Gates.
Rick, I was just curious. Success I can certainly gauge by observing, but employee size is another thing. You know, if you sit here watching and typing away, you like to form an accurate image of the entire situation.
BTW, the number 20 was gleaned from a post by Sara B. a while ago. It could be more by now; I don't think it's any less (although I haven't seen anything by Sofia C. for quite some time).
I think the "10 people" Sara referred to are the tech support people. That number wouldn't include managers, secretaries, programmers, etc.
The number of employees in a company is something like a college diploma -- it's not important unless you do something with it. So I agree with Rick while acknowledging that this isn't what Mrs. M was looking for.
