Since this forum does not come with a preview function (at least I did not find it), I am wondering whether we can have a testing thread.
For dummies like me that would be quite helpful when trying out using new functions like pictures, links, signatures etc

It's easy to make a fool of yourself by what you are writing - no need to increase the odds by being unfamiliar with the various functions to spice up the posts?

Try capitalizing the img. I think that was the only way I could get it to work. Just go down to General and practice all you want,we did! this is a tough one to get right. Wish I could remember all of it,but I slept since then.

The only thing different between the 1st try and the 2rd try is that I removed the blank before "[/img]". The caps don't appear to be important

using the instant ubbcode with image, I seem to be able to do it (fingers crossed) but not via my profile.
I checked my profile and there is no space before the closing [/img]. However I just noticed there was a blank after the opening [img] - let's give that a try

Drop the "SRC".

Make sure there's no blank before [/img].

You were right. This topic did get dropped as a result of your deleting your post. I've never seen that happen before. I was able to bring it back by adding this post.

This is very weird.

I brought up this forum and couldn't see this topic.

Would you, or Mrs. M, or anyone mind adding another post to another forum, then deleting it to see what happens. Keep track of the wording on the topic that will allow you to use the "search" feature to find the topic and allow you to add another post to bring it back.

Rick, as you can see, it is working fine now. Perhaps that was something they worked on yesterday when we were down.
