I love how some people have used AS to snipe a car, inflatable ferrets, and my favorite, the vintage firelog. We should encourage all AS users to snipe something unique, photograph it, and send it in.

For the record, some of my recent snipes include a t-shirt, brita replacement water filters, and linkin park [i'm too cheap to head to best buy ].

ourselves (just my spouse and I, except for the foundation, brick and sheetrock) and I've saved thousands (really!) on new appliances, plumbing and electrical components, mostly by manual sniping (I wish I'd known about AS earlier). We've literally bought almost all interior components, including the kitchen sink, on eBay. Now there's a story to tell them, eh? Grin.

Wow that's a great story. Just goes to show what you can buy on eBay these days. A whole house from the ground up.

Gosh, Lisa! My hubby and I are hoping to finally put up our house this year. We've owned over 14 acres for about 7 years now and darn it we want to live there. (Anybody want to buy a Rowhouse?)

14 acres, excellent! We have only 3 acres but in the Front Range area of Colo. we're lucky to have it.

We've given ourselves a year to do this. Hasn't been easy, we both work regular jobs and have a pair of 5-yr. old twins to keep track of too. We've got years of experience in construction though, that helps. Plus, we live right next door to where we are building so it's easy just to walk right over to the site.

I say... DO IT while you can, when you can, as soon as you can afford it. It's hard but very rewarding too and think about it... building materials aren't really getting any cheaper (at least around here). And now that you know about AS you can really do some awesome sniping

Twins eh? I'm a twin. As Dave said above, if you snipers could send in pictures of items you won with Auction Sniper, I could add them to the pictures that are displayed on the homepage... and even toss you a few free sniping credits for your trouble. It would be interesting to see.
