When you use the AS Insurance you get the option to confirm the insurance. It sends an email saying:

Subject: Insurance Confirmation for Item : 1234567890


region2 has won the following eBay auction: 
ITEM# 1234567890
TITLE : Widget. No whistles, two bells!
 
Shipping insurance has been purchased for the above item. 
The amount of insurance purchased is $2,117.50.  
Shipping insurance can be added/removed up to 47 hours 
after the end date of an auction.  
Insurance will be finalized on this item on 5/27/2005 12:29:11 AM.

This email has been sent by Auctionsniper on the behalf 
of the buyer mentioned above.  If you receive multiple 
or harrassing emails, please forward this email to 
support@auctionsniper.com.  If you have further questions, 
you may also contact one of our support staff at 
http://support.auctionsniper.com.

This raises a number of questions:-
1. Who do you send this to? Yourself or the seller? It says to the seller - why would you want to do this?
2. Do you want the seller to know you used AS? Seems you have no choice with this system!
3. What time zone is the time in? (I'm in GMT + 1 at the moment). Why would the seller want to know this?
4. Why do you have to go and find the seller's email address - why can't AS find that for you or use eBay's email system?
5. If you forget to put in an address and press the [Send Mail] button, there is no way back to re-enter the address. Is this a bug?

Perhaps AS staff could answer these questions...
