thank you for your responses to my auctionsniper.com problem; i'm not expecting an apology from auctionsniper - what their support staff member emailed me was too extreme for them to acknowledge. i'm still not sure you're right about the ebay and AS passwords matching (maybe sara, sniper goddess, cares to offer a clue) as long as AS knows what my ebay password is; i described a curious visual glitch to the person now handling my problem, a kind of wrinkle at the ebay password box, where, evidently, one is supposed to write the password twice. that might be part of the problem. the solution isn't easy to my problem, something the support staff at AS hasn't realized. sometimes pat solutions really aren't the answer; sometimes people ought to take the attitude "if this doesn't work, let's see what else we can do..." after a week of trying it ought to be apparent that more is going on than meets the eye, or more needs to be communicated, or whatever. - allen
