Is there any way that the current number of bids on an item could be displayed along with the price. The reason I ask is for the times there have been no bids, or I have placed one bid to get rid of the BIN feature. If the current number of bids was shown, I wouldn't need to log into each one to see if it has changed.

This doesn't address your question, but that's one of the things I like about "Update items info". I can see if any bids were placed since I last updated. If you have a lot of items, it might be hard to see the price change, but if you had a lot of items the # of bids might be hard to keep track of.

Not suggesting this is a solution, but it might help.

I don't rely on that much. It's off alot of the time. Even when I hit the update items button. I usually do have alot of snipes going.

The thing is, the price posted as currently is the same if there is no bid, or one bid. So if there is no bid I leave it alone. If there is one bid I may increase my snipe. Can't tell if there is a starting bid unless you go into each auction. That's why I would like to see it say how many bids.

Makes sense, but it would be just one more thing to go wrong when ebay changes their auction format. But, maybe others will request it as well.
