Sniper In Training
Posted
Hi All,

I am currently sniping an item that ends at 20:00 hrs this evening which I know is the worst possible time on the worst possible day Eek

I have put in a max bid of £50 and the auction is currently £12

My lead time is 8 seconds after advice on Sunday sniping from these boards.

I am worried that I will be outbid at the last second if this lead time is too long, can I set my Ebay proxy bidder to £50.00 also to work in conjunction with just in case??

Thanks

If you place a proxy bid, then AS won’t be able to place a snipe for the same amount. Also, placing a proxy bid will give some other sniper even MORE time to outbid you.

Now, if you’re talking about placing a manual snipe AND have AS place a snipe for you, that’s possible, but again, which ever snipe goes in first must be lower than the second snipe so that ebay will accept it. And, that’s not going to do much about being outbid. Only a higher bid will accomplish that.

Hopefully I’m understanding your question.
