Wow! How everything has changed.

Last time I had to pay by Money Order, some years ago, I logged on at Western Union - paid a small fee and Bob's your uncle.

Thinking the service would only have improved I agreed to buy a couple of items from the US needing a Money Order or check (sic).

Western Union no longer allow you to pay for them online (and seem to insist on US registered cards as well! unless using their UK variant.)

Bidpay have stopped the money order payment option - otherwise that looked good.

At the moment the only feasible option looks like using the UK Western Union with a surcharge of about $28 on $93 - and I can't remember if that's a money order.

Can anyone make any useful suggestions about how someone based in the UK could produce a Money Order for a US seller?
