after perusing the fora here for good lead time managed to change my lead time to 8 secs as suggested - however i AM in the UK and this might lead us to having a shorter lead time - i was sniped by someone else who set theirs to 5 secs by the look of it
just out of interest - even if my snipe was placed 3 seconds before the end, if someone has autobid for a higher amount then will that still beat mine (eg as autobid/proxy bid) as soon as ebay recognises my bid? |

Remember: It is the HIGHEST bid that wins; not the last bid. Good luck on future sniping. Dave "Eagles may soar, but weasels do not get sucked into jet engines." |

It's either going to be the last, or the second to last. |

It's either going to be the last or the second-to-last post that's completely wrong!

I'll be last so you can be second. R 2nd |

Is 8 seconds really a good lead time...or should it be less? Prior to using the sniping services, I would manually wait until about 5 seconds remained before placing my bid. |
