I have lost several auctions on AS even though my bid is higher than the winning bid and get a message "blocked by seller." I have 100% feedback, am buying in the USA, have a paypal account, and so I have no clue what the problem is. I inquired of a seller, and he had no clue. What can I do?

If the "View confirmation" button next to the snipe doesn't give you the detail then use this:

If "Click here to see eBay's response to your snipe" doesn't help then try a low manual bid on one of the sellers items...

I had the same problem last week. Apparently if a seller only accepts paypal, ebay prompts you to verify that your ebay user ID is connected to your paypal account before you bid. If you use auctionsniper, you cannot manually verify and hence the bid gets blocked... Hopefully you only have to do this once... so this "sticks" for all future bids incl. snipes...
If not, auctionsniper should probably find a way to fix this for us snipers Smile

eBay Help Desk reports that there was a problem on their side resulting in many users' PayPal-account -to-eBay-account linkages being reset accidentally . This occurred approximately April 30, 2008. Bids placed by proxy bidding services, such as AuctionSniper on eBay listings having PayPal as the only accepted form of payment would be refused, resulting in 'BLOCKED BY SELLER' messages. This message is found in the 'Confirmation' tab of the AuctionSniper listing after the failure of the bid.
The fix is a one time re-establishment of the PayPal account linkage in the user eBay profile. To do this fix: 1. Go to 'My eBay.' 2. In 'My eBay Views' at left, click on 'Addresses' under the 'My Account' heading. 3. Click on the 'View all shipping addresses' link. 4. Under the heading 'About addresses,' there will be a button labeled 'Add PayPal addresses.' Click on this button. This will restore the linkage between your eBay and PayPal accounts. 5. To verify resolution, re-execute steps 1-4 and under 'About addresses' you should see 'PayPal address'...'linked to your PayPal account'...
Best regards.
