Question:
I just did a change of password at ebay and needed to update here, when entering my info I noticed my password was not encrypted, looked up and noticed I was not on a https server...you guys trying to get me busted?

Yeah, I'm a little concerned about logging in to the AS website... the main page text boxes don't seem to be encrypted, which means that each time you login, your username and password get returned to the server in plaintext, which can be intercepted and read by anyone.

Why doesn't AS use SSL encryption for login, or at least have the option to do so? Also, does AS use SSL encryption when sniping for you? ...again, I think there should be an option to do so.

I think this is a *really* important feature which is long overdue.

The default text boxes at eBay are not secure. 99% of people use those and have for 5 years+

I am unaware of them having any problems. However if you are still not certain go ahead and use our secure link above when you need to enter your password then pop back to the normal site.

I have been using the secured log-on page cited in this post (https://www.auctionsniper.com/) for about 3 months.
In the last 2 weeks, I noticed that when I log-on from this page, the 'lock' icon in the lower status bar is NOT showing *and* I get a warning inidcating that information is being transferred to a non-secured site (standard log-in page).

- Have others had this problem?
- When will the secured log in page work again?

Use the secure link on the bottom of the login box on the home tab.

Too many people were using every page on our site in secure mode which is not needed, and requires a huge amount of server resources, thus slowing the site down for everyone else.
