Hello !

I´m a newbie and after reading the FAQ I still have some questions. I hope they can be answered easily.
I´m afraid I still didn`t understand exactly how auction sniper works. Frown
Does AS use MY ebay account to bid for me on auctions ?

1. Has my ebay nickname and my auction sniper nickname to be the same ?

2. Has my ebay password and my auction sniper password to be the same ?

If AS wants to use MY ebay account, then these informations are necessary, or not ?

3. I want to use auction sniper to bid on a german auction, but the seller don´t sell to other countries than germany.
I am from germany, that`s not the problem - but does auction sniper bid in EURO ? Or just in US Dollar ?

4. If I won the auction - do I recieve an "endofauction-mail" from ebay or from AS ?

I hope, somebody can help me !

Confused

If I'm wrong on any of this, I'm sure one of the regs will correct my error, but to the best of my knowledge and understanding;

AS uses your ebay account information to place your maximum bid at near end of auction time.

1) Yes and necessary

2) Yes and necessary

3) AS only works with eBay auctions. Your bid is placed in the auction currency.

4) You receive End of Auction Email from ebay and AS.

My suggestion: Try it and see what happens.

Yes I agree.

1.) and 2.) If AS is going to bid for you, they must be able to sign in using your ID and password.

3.) AS only sends the numbers. The auction currency is determined by the seller at eBay. If the auction is in euros, your bid will be in euros.

4.) Both, but you can turn that option off at AS.

... and to the forum!

Thanks ! Smile

Did anybody ever had any problems after giving away his / her ebay password ?

I have some nightmares about suddently having won a motoryacht or being the highest bidder on other useless but terrible expensive things.(Without my knowledge!)

I DON`T think, AS would "miss-use" the password, but how will my password be protected?

Or do the users of AS normally change their password right after winning an auction ?

AS is a 'Verisign' site. It is very secure. Same for giving credit card information.

I have NEVER heard of a password or credit card information being stolen or misused.

Click the 'Home' tab, then at the very bottom of the page, click on the verisign logo to check security.

Another point is that your name in this FORUM does not have to be your ebay name. Yes, AS has my ebay name and password,to bid on my behalf. But I use a different name in the forum area.
