Hey all,

I've noticed that the few times I've used A/S, I always end up paying the EXACT amount that I entered into A/S. I was under the impression that I will only pay the next incremental amount above what someone else below me has bid. Is this correct?

For instance, there is an item on eBay right now that's presently sitting at $31.00. I entered a max bid on A/S of $125.00. Supposing nobody else bids on it, will I wind up paying the $125 or will it just enter in enough $$ to get it above the current max bidder?

Thanks,
Aaron

AS will bid $125 and you'll pay the next increment.

Thanks Rick, so if it's incremental of, say, $1.50, I'd pay $32.50 for the item?

If the highest bidder’s proxy bid is $31, you’d pay the next increment.
