After 3 days in the last week with no service and 1 where bids were placed early, AS has supposedly moved to a new site. Hopefully, this will have sensible hardware and power backups if AS is not to commit business suicide again.

But the software is still not working properly !
(1) Editing of folders does not work,
(2) Better still, AS have added charges to my account for all the bids I won by placing them manually WHILE AS WAS DOWN !!

I know AS need to recoup some of the mega bucks they lost from last week's mess, but to charge for bids they did not nor COULD NOT place ??? That is what I call real service !!!

I suggest users may need to check their balances a.s.a.p. !

Thank you - but I had already added it to my exchange with Support, ongoing since the June 25 fiasco, before I posted the warning to others.

But I now note from Mike D.'s latest posting in the "NEVER AGAIN" thread that, despite previous claims, the move is yet to take place, with yet more down time to look forward to !!

This is a good ruse by AS. I was credited with a few free snipes as compensation for AS losing me some auctions.

Today (european time), I entered my bids manually because AS was down - I obviously couldn't cancel the snipes on AS.

Fortunately, I won one item and, lo and behold, when I logged on to AS this evening (european time) AS had taken away one free snipe despite never having placed the bid on my behalf.

It's bad enough to have peanuts for compensation but to then have them stolen back is beyond a joke.

And, yes Rick, I have raised a support case but I suspect there are a number of users who've got the same problem.
