is it possible for sellersd to "push" the bid to your max.I have won an unusual amount of auctions by exactly my max bid amount.

Besides, how would they know when to stop without overbidding you? Unless you've got an obvious bid-pattern that they could see from your history, or the item ALMOST always sells for exactly the same amount...
