Hi,

Thanks for asking. The first thing you need to do is create the group.

To do that sign in and go to the "My Snipes" tab. On the right side of the screen you'll see: "Folders: New | Delete"

Click on the New link. Then just enter your name and description for folder, and check the box letting us know you want that folder to be a bid group. And select the number of auctions you want to win in that group.

Normally I just select one item. We'll then bid on all the items in that bid group until you win 1 item. After that we cancel all your other bids in the group.

One way I used this recently was I wanted to win the new "Snow White" on DVD that was just released. Well I created a Bid Group folder for Show White DVD, and told it to win just 1. Then I went to eBay and found about 10 different auctions that had no or low bids. There were about 25 auctions so I just selected the 10 with the lowest prices. Then I added snipes for all 10 of those and selected that the be put in my Snow White Bid Group folder right at the time when I placed the snipe.

Sure enough I won one for about $1.50 less than everyone else was winning for.

Let me know how it works out for you.

Hi,
If I use the BidGroups feature to win an auction, I know you say that the other bids (snipes) will be cancelled.

But what if there is some glitch in the system and they are not cancelled? Am I still responsible for the costs?

Just wondering...

say I created a bid group initially wanting to get just one item - is there a way to modify it to 2 items? otherwise I will just have to reenter all the snipes again to get the second.

Done.

You can now edit the amount of items you wish to win in a bid group.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I had a bid group going, but I found the items I was looking for locally. Now I have an empty bid group that I cannot delete. How do I delete this?

Look above at Adam's graphic - you will see 'delete' next to each bid group. Click on it to delete the relevant bid group.
