how long does it take for a palpal payment to show up in my accouny balance? I would think it should be instant?

It's instantaneous. If you havent gotten the money straight away - I'd say there was a error in the email addy or something.

If it's with a credit card, I think someone from AS has to accept the payment before it shows up in account.

Mine has always been instant, prolly coz I just use funds thats already in my paypal account

The only time when it is not instant now is when it is transfered from a checking account ,not secured on paypal by a credit card. It can take up to four business days to clear.
