Well, there have been only 3 of those for the past month and a half so I consider them "hard-to-find", unfortunately 2 of them ended 5 min apart and that is why I used the bid groups.
I was not aware that I can report this via the help tab but I will take a look

What gives!, I've been waiting all week for this item, and now I get a "Unresolved Bidgroup Item", when I should have won the item well below my max bid (only two bidders) - opportuntities like this don't come along everyday - so I ask again - what the .... is going on!!!!

Bloody not happy

were you re-using an existing bidgroup?

were the items close together in their finishing times?

Pete,

You’ll probably get more accurate information if you use the link I left you. The forum is mostly frequented by users who don’t have access to features and functions that the support staff does.

Hi, I did end up contacting support as I was a little peeved. I received a response as follows:

" Hi,

I am sorry for the difficulties you are facing.

I have checked and found that the item number ********* has a status of “Unresolved Bid Group”. The ‘Unresolved Bid Group‘ status in your account is due to the snipe being cancelled because we had not confirmed the end of auction status of the previous snipe in the bid group yet. We do this as a precautionary measure to avoid the possibility of securing more items in a bid group than are desired. Typically, only 30 seconds are required between snipes for a bid group to function properly but, in this case, it appears our end of auction checker was running behind a bit. Unfortunately, in this situation, there was nothing you could have done differently in order for this snipe to fire correctly.

Please do let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Sincerely,
Auction Sniper Support "

I don't usually use bidgroups as I've only discovered them. I'lll be a little cautious next time.

The good news is that I've received a second chance offer on the item that I was after. Price still way beyond retail.

Thanks for the responses..
