Why is the number below "# Bids" on items in "My Snipes" less than the number below "# of Bids" for the corresponding item in "Items I'm Watching" on ebay?

No, they save their processing power for actually placing snipes -- a priority that I for one appreciate! (grin)

Having the [Update Prices] icon allows "My Snipes" page to come up faster. If you had several snipes, it would take longer to bring up the page if AS had to check the current price on all those auctions. By providing the [Update Prices] icon, AS allows the user to decide when they want to take the hit.
