One week after not being able to place bids and we're back AGAIN!! Now my little pop up box will not function.Enter all the details click on the Snipe IIt! button and....NOTHING Tried placing bids on the main site on MY Snipes page and heres a new one on me (having waited several minutes ...."COULD NOT FIND THE ITEM" WHAT??!! I found it OK and I've just got a little Dell! I am TRULY fed up with AS. I'll be off elsewhere soon.

Glad I could be of help, although you aren't my customer and I not looking for any relationships, and even if I were, you're not my type. But check with me in a couple of weeks - that may change.
When adding a new snipe, loading time is much longer than normal (about a minute), and then fails with the following text: "Could not find the item".
Logged a support case with AS, (thanks for the link Rick!), and received a reply from AS support within minutes. Was then able to place snipe thanks to AS support. If anyone else is having the same problem, I suggest logging a support case with AS (as Rick suggested above).
Firstly thank you region2 for your comment. Glad dorky got his problem fixed via the ubiquitous Rik link. My problem received this reply (in part)....
"we have encountered a technical issue lately which is responsible for the behavior you have described. Our engineers are working on it and it should get resolved in a short time."
THAT reply was dated 11th October.
Since then I get spasmodic "normal" (job to remember what that is) service plus tonight another new message " Runtime Error / Server too busy"!!
