I got outbid, sniped. I thought auto snipe bid your max like no matter what. He only won by $1 with one bid, in two seconds. IDK explain

Yeah, I know but I was the high bider. You cant place a max bid unless your the high bidder. How you outbid me by $1 in 2 seconds. He would have to be phychic because my hidden max bid is more than $20.


Lets say this, someone else is winning at $167 on a pair of shoes. I have auto sniping set at $212 in the last 5 seconds. Does my snip keep biding an increment above his or does it bid $212 and thats it? I dont want to pay $40 more if I could beat him by $5 myself. $212 is what I would be willing to pay if it got to that point. Explain how it exactly bids. Thanks

Ebay's bidding increment and proxy bidding determines if and how much you'll win by.

Answer that though. He only made one bid to get to that, you can count how many bids.

I got high bid at 66.65 then the two others were just me highering my max bid. With 2 second left, he bid exactly 89.78
