Sniper In Training
Posted
Here's a weird question -- earlier tonight I "lost" an auction which I thought I was going to be outbid on and didn't cancel the snipe.

Instead of a "proxy outbid" message, though, I got an e-mail from Auction Sniper saying that I didn't win because of an "Invalid UserId/Pass." (The winning bid WAS higher than my max bid, but anyhow....)

I just went to place a bid on something else, and noticed a warning under my two active bids, saying "WARNING - Your stored username or password might be incorrect!" I haven't changed my Ebay password in a while, nor have I had any problem with bids going through during the past couple of days.

I placed my latest "snipe," and THAT one doesn't have a warning message -- is this happening to anyone else, and is there a fix? I'm planning on simply deleting the snipes with the warnings and re-placing the snipes.

Thanks in advance!

File a support request. They’ll probably tell you that ebay changed something (signon) or had some kind of malfunction (if you can’t blame the “big guys”, who can you blame?), but it’s always more comforting (I suppose) to hear it from someone in the know (I suppose).
