I've set the lead time for sniping at 7 seconds, but the bid is usually placed 15 - 30 seconds before the end. The last time occurred this morning. I won the auction, but another bidder had enough time to raise my bid which would not have happened if the snipe were timed correctly.

Is there anything that can be done to correct the timing?

Sorry Daz, you have not read the forums or the FAQs or you'd realise what's going on when the lead time is extended.

Better to snipe a tad early than not to snipe at all!
