Sniper In Training |
There is a UK auction with an item I want to buy. I did email the seller & they will sell and ship to the US. I want to snipe this item. When I enter the amount to snipe- I am thinking dollars not pounds. The auction is listed in pounds that according to ebay is $1.66 per pound rate. Will this snipe be done in $1 or pounds. I entered what I wanted to spend in $ on the snipe, then figured out what it would be if the snipe is pounds instead. I can live with that amount too- but would like to know for future reference.
Thanks. rose7a |

rose,
This is from AS faq: Your maximum bid will be in the currency of the auction. If the seller is accepting US dollars, then a max bid for 125.75 will be for 125 US dollars and 75 cents. And if a seller is accepting German marks, then a max bid of 75 will be for 75 German marks. There is no need to make conversions. Simply enter your maximum bid in the currency that is being accepted. This question comes up a lot. Glad you came here to ask. |

Thanks Rick. So if I understand this correctly, since the amount listed for bidding was in pounds with the $ amount in brackets behind the pounds, my snipe bid will be made in pounds. Right?
