I'm very sad because I've lost my first snipe in the auction below

The strange thing that I don't understand is that I made my snipe with 618.99 at 19:44:30 and the winner soon after and he won with 623.99.
How can he did it when the increment bid was 1 EURO?
It must be 619.99, isn't it?
Maybe there is something that I didn't understand.

Please help me understand.

It looks like the bid increment is 5.00 for that price range. The ebay site should have their bid increments listed in their faq, or how ever they say "frequently asked questions".
